Transmedia
was established in 2005 by Simon Caplan,
a qualified
Accountant & International Tax Adviser,
who had for over 25 years
advised clients in the media.
The company's initial acquisition was "THE
ARYAN COUPLE", seen and
acquired at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival.
In March 2007 Transmedia became a member of The Caparo Group of Companies - one of the UK's largest privately-owned multi-national groups of companies. It is now under the umbrella of the newly formed Caparo Media Division, within which it can develop and grow much more quickly than it could otherwise have done, had it remained independent and growing organically, on its own.
Transmedia has no defined acquisition
policy, save only that it's films
should be well-made and as varied as
possible in genre.
The company actively seeks and encourages
new film talent, and
Transmedia has, in is current slate of
films awaiting release, 2 films
(THE RUN & LIFE IS A BUFFET), that
come from little-known film-makers.
It is hoped that the release of these
films will help to raise the
profile and reputation of 2 such talented
writer-directors.
We will be attending the most important
International Film Festivals
that take place over any 12-month period
in the hope of adding to what
we hope is already a wide-ranging repertoire
of films.
We only seek to buy films where "all-rights" are
available, ie
Theatrical (cinema), DVD, Television
(Satellite & Terrestrial),
Internet, etc ... so as to afford the
best opportunity of maximising
revenue streams and of realising profits
therefrom.
